Leadership is a gift given by others willing
to be led.
Organisational performance comes through the contributions of
the people you lead rather than your own ability to be right.
In my view, good leaders demonstrate three things:
|
authenticity in themselves which creates confidence, culture
and trust;
clear communication which inspires;
broader, lateral understanding to give vision and strategy.
|
Brilliant individuals are not necessarily leaders - it takes character
and commitment, a willingness to thrive in change, an ability to
learn and develop from feedback, and also requires emotional engagement,
humility and compassion. This can be highly challenging for a successful
executive - the beliefs and behaviours which have worked to get
you so far may not be the ones to take you further.
In coaching, I provide a confidential, impartial and challenging
sounding board - with insight from my senior level experience in
business - and help you explore your purpose, your authenticity,
your resources, your clarity and your empathy, whether you are leading
a new team or a new business.
