Commercial background:

My career as a top-ranked equity analyst in the City with firms including Goldman Sachs and SBC Warburg (UBS), involved advising leading international investors and colleagues in sales and trading, as well as working relationships with board-level industry executives, corporate financiers and senior lawyers. In industry at Thus plc, as Director of Strategy, I managed a team of 16 and worked with the CEO and across all functions within the business to help build vision, consensus and confidence.

As a self-employed consultant, and with Oxford Capital Partners, I worked with numerous entrepreneurs in developing strategies, stories and models to fund and grow their businesses, and I was a non-executive director of AdIQ, a venture-funded mobile technology business. I have also worked as a visiting lecturer at the University of Greenwich Business School.

During my years in the 'City', I also enjoyed establishing a major mentoring initiative with Business in the Community and graduated through the Common Purpose leadership development programme. Some years ago, I studied Biochemistry at Oxford University.
