There are a number of different frameworks, theories and techniques which fall into the general approach of Tranactional Analysis. These have been used in the workplace for many years now in helping understand what leads people to think, feel and behave in the way they do - and what might help people work better with each other.

I have found the following models useful in the context of coaching. They work as independent models but clearly overlap with each other (and overlap with NLP in many ways too). My learning in this area has been through Coaching Development.

Life Positions (I'm OK, You're OK etc)

Working Styles (Hurry up, Be perfect, Please people, Try Hard, Be strong)

Personal Styles & Ego States (Natural/Adapted Child, Nurturing/Controlling Parent, Adult)

Drama Triangle (Victim, Rescuer, Persecutor)

what might help people work better with each other?
